Meeting Last night

We had a great meeting last night with us discussing the beauty of Secwin 4 opposed Secwin 3 and all the great features which you can use everyday. We also discussed using the features of security to be able to handle optional features in your program which is not just bound to a customary system parameter but turned on based a security option instead.

We also then had a good discussion regarding Total Commander. This was conducted by our esteemed colleague Arthur. Arthur is the authority user and knowledge base on this product and has shown us things which are included in the product which most people never dream of when looking at the shell.

As an experiment we tried to record the session, but with Teamviewer running and Skype fighting for CPU cycle. Running Camtasia to do the recording made the system feel it had enough and we had to reboot. Thus, sorry Neville. No video for you.

Thanks to all the attended, without your participation there is no clarion user group.

We need ideas for the next meeting and we need topics that people will find relevant. Please send them through to topics (at) clarionusergroups.com

We are into the second month of the new year and finally we can meet!

Where have all the classes gone?

The rather obscure title of this post is a reference to this great song, but also refers to the example code for my last two sessions on classes that I’ve been speaking on at the Clarion User Group meetings.

I’m busy getting ready for tonight’s meeting, where I’ll be discussing virtual methods, inheritance, and a whole bunch of other uber-cool things. I’ll make the source code for tonight’s session (as well as the past two sessions) available here on ClarionUserGroups.com later tonight, after the meeting.
